Our Clinical Director

Dr. Wong, BVSc(Melb), MRCVS

Hello, I am Dr. Wong and I often joke that my journey with animals began after watching endless animal documentaries on National Geographic and Animal Planet. I extended my love for animals by pursuing a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Melbourne.

My pinnacle experience with animals came during an exchange at the Colorado State University Flint Animal Cancer Center (FACC). I thrived on the client interactions and saw their fears transformed into Hope upon hearing that options were still available for their beloved pet with Cancer. While I was training in the USA, my family had many brushes with Cancer. Hence when dealing with oncology cases, my conversations with owners are especially heart-felt.  I was reminded that life is about relationships with others. It is my wish to bring comfort to the families that I shall come to serve, especially those dealing with cancer.  Since then, I have worked in specialty practices in the USA with a focus on surgery.

My area of interests includes oncology, chronic pain relief, minimally invasive interventions, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery and reconstruction.

Besides traveling the world to skill up, I was also featured in National Geographic Wild (Animal ER) and have published internationally in the peer-reviewed Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Veterinary and Comparative Orthopaedics and Traumatology.

I have always thought of coming back to serve, to recreate that climate of Hope and Gratitude I saw in FACC where people come to seek the best for their pets. Hope Veterinary Care stands for that beacon of Hope and to help you make an informed decision that best suits your family’s circumstances.

Come talk to us and let’s help your pet live longer, better!
